During a visit to Expo 2025 Osaka, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, expressed pride in the UAE’s national pavilion, which is attracting thousands of visitors daily.

Touring the pavilion, Sheikh Mohammed commended its design, which reflects the architectural heritage of the Emirates.

"I liked the design of our national pavilion, inspired by the palm tree... which is based on a new concept of the 'arish', which are the old houses built from palm fronds and trunks," he wrote in a social media post.

The pavilion blends traditional aesthetics with forward-looking content, showcasing the UAE’s advancements in space exploration, healthcare innovation, and sustainability.

“Our pavilion represents our adherence to the authenticity of the past and our passion for the future,” he added, emphasising the country's commitment to preserving its cultural identity while investing in modern development.

Sheikh Mohammed also recognised Sheikha Mariam bint Mohammed bin Zayed for her leadership in overseeing the pavilion’s design and execution. He praised her for successfully narrating the UAE’s story to the global audience.

"Today I also met with our unsung heroes and our mission at Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan, who welcome more than 15,000 visitors daily, conveying our story to the world and adding new friends to our country every day," he said, acknowledging the efforts of the Emirati youth involved in the expo.

Highlighting the UAE’s diplomatic journey, Sheikh Mohammed remarked, "Our relationship with Japan dates back to 1972. Today, our relations with all countries of the world are strong through our global participation and hosting of international events. We also share our unsung heroes, young men and women, who travel the world to convey our story, our identity, our culture and our passion for the future."

Expo 2025 Osaka is expected to serve as a platform for global collaboration and the UAE’s pavilion stands out for its cultural depth and futuristic vision.
