Priyanka Chopra to get Global Vanguard Honour at Gold House Gala
text_fieldsMumbai: Global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas will be honoured with the inaugural Global Vanguard Honour at the prestigious Gold House Gala 2025, in recognition of her groundbreaking contributions to both Hollywood and Bollywood. The award celebrates her 25-year career, during which she has successfully bridged Asian Pacific and Western cultures through her acclaimed work in cinema.
Chopra Jonas has starred in a range of successful films across two industries, including Bollywood blockbusters like 'Krrish', 'Bajirao Mastani', 'Barfi', and 'Don', as well as Hollywood productions such as 'Citadel' and 'Love Again'. Her international success has positioned her as a trailblazer for Asian representation in global entertainment.
The Gold House Gala is widely regarded as the most-watched celebration of Asian Pacific and multicultural excellence. The fourth annual ceremony will take place on May 10 at the Music Center in downtown Los Angeles and will host over 600 influential figures from various fields. The event will also spotlight the 2025 A100 List, which honors the 100 most impactful Asian Pacific leaders in culture.
In addition to Chopra Jonas, other honorees at this year’s gala include Academy Award-winning filmmaker Ang Lee (Life of Pi), Nepalese-American fashion designer Prabal Gurung, the cast and creators of 'Moana 2', 'Wicked' director Jon M. Chu, Grammy-winning Icelandic-Chinese singer-songwriter Laufey, Korean-American writer and journalist Min Jin Lee, and Pokémon CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara—who will be recognized alongside the iconic character Pikachu.
Other notable awardees include American singer and rapper Anderson Paak, Grammy Award-winning artist Megan Thee Stallion, and elite athletes such as Olympic gold medalist Suni Lee, Paralympian Chuck Aoki, and Olympic fencer Lee Kiefer.
The evening will feature appearances by renowned presenters, including musician H.E.R., filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro, actors Ming-Na Wen and Kelly Marie Tran, and Debby Soo, CEO of OpenTable. Laufey is scheduled to perform a special rendition of her upcoming single “Silver Lining” during the event.
A highlight of the evening will be a tribute led by K-pop legends, celebrating the global cultural impact of the genre. The segment will include a special preview of the upcoming Prime Video documentary 'Lee Soo Man: The King of K-Pop', honoring the legacy of the Korean entertainment mogul.
