Indian FM visits Kuwaiti leaders, strengthens bilateral ties
text_fieldsHis Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah welcomed Indian Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar during his official visit to Kuwait on Sunday. The meeting, also attended by Kuwait’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya, focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Kuwait and India. Key officials present included Lieutenant General (Ret.) Jamal Theyab, Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs at the Diwan of His Highness the Crown Prince Mazen Al-Essa and Indian Ambassador to Kuwait Dr. Adarsh Suika.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah received the Indian delegation, accompanied by Foreign Minister Al-Yahya, for discussions aimed at boosting cooperation between the two nations.
“Honored to call on His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait. Conveyed the greetings of President and Prime Minister,” the Prime Minister wrote on X.
The Prime Minister's Diwan Head Abdulaziz Al-Dakhil and Ambassador Samih Hayat were also in attendance.
The Indian delegation was officially welcomed by Minister Al-Yahya at the airport, signifying the importance of Dr. Jaishankar's visit, which is expected further to enhance diplomatic and economic ties between the two countries.
