UAE leaders honour women's sacrifices, their impact on International Women's Day 2025

President Sheikh Mohamed extended his gratitude to women worldwide, recognizing their achievements and influence across all fields.
In a tweet, he said, "We celebrate the contributions of all women in fostering lasting progress and development to uplift society".
International Women's Day, observed annually on March 8, is a global occasion dedicated to honouring women's achievements, resilience, and contributions in all areas of life.
Addressing women in the UAE and beyond, Sheikh Mohamed added, "To women in the UAE and around the world, we express our sincere gratitude as you continue to inspire future generations through your pivotal impact and achievements in all fields".
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also marked the occasion, highlighting the significant role of women in building societies.
"On International Women’s Day, we celebrate the generosity of women, their strength, sacrifices, and contributions to building societies and nations," he wrote on X.
He further emphasized: "Women are the essence of life, its story, and its soul. They are the nurturers of generations and the makers of heroes".
Sheikh Mansour, UAE Vice-President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Presidential Court, also paid tribute to women, recognizing their dedication and efforts toward a better future.
"We extend our salute to every woman in the UAE and worldwide who contributes through her efforts and dedication to building a better future for her nation."
He also highlighted the UAE’s commitment to women's empowerment, "The UAE stands as a model in empowering women and providing them with all the resources needed to achieve their ambitions and serve their country in every field".
In addition to International Women’s Day, the UAE celebrates Emirati Women’s Day on August 28 each year, honouring the contributions of Emirati women to society.
