Saudi: Cybersecurity postgraduate scholarship program opens for applications
text_fieldsThe National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA), in partnership with the Ministry of Education, has launched the second phase of its Cybersecurity Postgraduate Scholarship Program, aimed at strengthening the nation’s cybersecurity workforce.
Applications for the program officially opened on Thursday, January 30, through the NCA’s website. According to a statement on the NCA website, the initiative seeks to enhance students' academic expertise in key cybersecurity domains while equipping the country with highly skilled professionals.
The program focuses on several critical cybersecurity areas, including cryptography, security of operational technology systems, public policies and emerging technologies. As part of the initiative, selected candidates will receive scholarships to study at 30 internationally recognized universities renowned for their expertise in cybersecurity. Additionally, research grants will be offered to support advanced studies in the field.
The NCA, which oversees cybersecurity in Saudi Arabia, plays a key role in protecting the Kingdom’s critical infrastructure, high-priority sectors, and government services. By investing in cybersecurity education and research, the authority aims to build a resilient workforce capable of addressing evolving digital threats.
