Marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and China, Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasised the need for the two nations to foster a harmonious partnership, likening it to a "Dragon-Elephant tango."

In a message to Indian President Droupadi Murmu, Xi highlighted the importance of closer cooperation between the two countries, which are home to over a third of the world’s population. The Chinese President expressed his readiness to enhance communication and coordination on significant global issues while jointly working to maintain peace along their shared Himalayan border.

The exchange of congratulatory messages on Tuesday reflects a positive gesture between the two nations as they seek to stabilise ties following the 2020 border clash that strained their relationship.
