New Delhi: Air India has announced the resumption of its non-stop flights between Delhi and Tel Aviv, with the inaugural flight set to depart on March 2. This move is part of the airline’s strategic expansion of its international routes and aims to enhance travel connectivity between India and Israel.

The airline will operate five flights weekly on the Delhi-Tel Aviv route using its Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft. The planes are equipped with 18 flat-bed seats in Business Class and 238 spacious Economy Class seats, ensuring a comfortable travel experience for passengers.

Flight AI139 will depart from Delhi on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 3:55 p.m. (IST) and arrive in Tel Aviv at 7:25 p.m. (local time). The return flight, AI140, will leave Tel Aviv at 9:10 p.m. and land in Delhi at 6:10 a.m. the following morning.

Bookings for the Delhi-Tel Aviv flights are now open. Passengers can reserve their seats through Air India’s official website, mobile app, or through travel agents.

The resumption of this service follows the receipt of necessary approvals and is aimed at strengthening Air India’s global network, especially in the Middle East and Europe. The national carrier had suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv last year due to growing tensions in the region but has now decided to resume operations as the situation stabilizes.

The revival of direct flights is expected to further boost travel between India and Israel, strengthening diplomatic, cultural, and business relations between the two countries. Additionally, earlier this month, Air India announced the introduction of in-flight Wi-Fi services on domestic flights, enhancing the passenger experience.
