Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson first arrived in India on January 16, 2025, for the Indian leg of Coldplay’s world tour. The band performed concerts in Mumbai and Ahmedabad, with their final show taking place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Republic Day. During the concert, Chris Martin paid tribute to India by performing patriotic songs such as “Vande Mataram” and “Maa Tujhhe Salaam,” concluding with the heartfelt words, “Salute to Mother India,” and extending Republic Day wishes to the audience.
Earlier, the couple was seen visiting the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai, where they were accompanied by Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre. Dakota Johnson, wearing a saffron veil, and Chris Martin also offered prayers at the Shri Babulnath Temple in Mumbai. Dakota was dressed in a printed cotton suit with a dupatta draped over her head, while Chris Martin wore a pastel blue kurta and a Rudraksha mala. Dakota even whispered her wishes into Nandi’s ear, following the belief that doing so grants one’s wishes.
