DMK leader Stalin alleged on Friday that the Election Commission's guidelines about the safe storing of polled EVMs are not being followed. He said that in several campuses where polled EVMs are stored, closed vehicles were brought and then later taken out after protest by party cadres. He named several locations, including Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, Sri Ram Engineering College, Thiruvallur and Loyola College, Chennai.

He added that these vehicles were brought in as mobile toilets for women police personnel when the EVMs are stored in institutions where there are toilet facilities. He further added that the DMK party cadres also noted increased Wi-Fi activity when these vehicles entered the premises.

The DMK leader also alleged that persons with laptops were allowed into the strong room where EVMs are stored.

Stalin has urged the Election Commission to ensure that EVMs are not hacked, no outsiders are allowed into campuses where EVMs are stored, no vehicles are allowed near strong rooms, Wi-Fi is disabled near strong rooms, and give a list of people who are permitted into campuses that store EVMs.
