Horrifying episode at Saif Ali Khan's lasted half an hour, says FIR
text_fieldsMumbai: An FIR was registered by the police on the suspected break-in at Saif Ali Khan’s, and the attack on the actor lasted half an hour from around 2 am on Thursday. The intruder was first noticed inside one of the actor couple’s children’s rooms by a nanny there around the mentioned time. The attacker demanded Rs 1 crore before Khan and another member of the staff at his house, the nanny testified as per the FIR, The Indian Express reported.
Though the attacker was confined to a room once, he managed to escape, and a CCTV cam placed on the floor of the fire escape caught the assailant. The footage badging says 2:33 am, the FIR stated.
Khan and his family reside in a duplex comprising the 11th and 12th floors of a residential establishment, and the family resides on the 11th floor. Khan’s four-year-old son Jehangir’s nanny, Eliyamma Philip, noticed the intruder first around 2 am.
The man signalled Philip not to make a sound, and nobody would go out until he got Rs 1 crore. The man donned a stick and a sharp hexa blade-like weapon. He attacked her, injuring her fingers and wrist.
Another nanny, Junu, who was in the room, raised the alarm, and Saif and his wife Kareena appeared. The intruder attacked Saif and a third nanny, Geeta, who looked after Saif’s 8-year-old son Taimur.
The family and the maids overpowered the attacker somehow and shut him inside the room, but later, more of Saif’s employees were awakened, and they came to the closed room; it was found open, and the attacker fled.
Philip described the attacker as a person who was around 30-35 years old and was wearing black pants, a shirt and a cap.
Saif sustained injuries on his neck, back, hand and shoulder and Taimur’s Nanny Geeta sustained injuries on her face, wrist, and back, FIR says.
