Hrithik Roshan set to direct Krrish 4, Preity Zinta may return
text_fieldsBollywood’s beloved superhero franchise is set for a major evolution, with Krrish 4 gearing up to be its most ambitious chapter yet.
According to a report by India Today, Hrithik Roshan is not only reprising his iconic roles but also stepping behind the camera to direct the film for the first time in his career.
The upcoming installment is said to draw inspiration from international blockbusters like Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, featuring a high-concept storyline rooted in time travel. Hrithik is expected to portray not one but three characters — Rohit (the scientist father), the superhero Krrish, and intriguingly, the film's primary antagonist.
Adding to the excitement, Preity Zinta is rumored to reunite with Hrithik on screen, reigniting their on-screen chemistry. Familiar faces from the franchise, including Priyanka Chopra, Rekha, and Vivek Oberoi, are also likely to return, giving fans a healthy dose of nostalgia.
Reports also hint at Nora Fatehi joining the cast in a dynamic, action-oriented role. The narrative will reportedly span multiple timelines — past and future — as Krrish races against time to neutralise a major global threat. While the film will be heavy on visual effects and cutting-edge tech, sources say that it will remain deeply emotional, exploring themes of family and relationships.
Veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan confirmed the directorial handover in a heartfelt Instagram post: "Duggu, 25 years ago I launched you as an actor. Now, 25 years later, you’re debuting as a director with two filmmakers — Aditya Chopra and myself — backing our most ambitious film, Krrish 4. Wishing you all the success and blessings in this new journey."
After several script revisions, the final version of Krrish 4 has been locked, with YRF Studios now joining forces with Hrithik to bring the large-scale project to life.
